what I'm not eating...

I'm not actually eating this at the moment, but I wish I was, and so I will tell you about it.

It's nearly 1am. I'm craving a shrimp roll from the Fish Tale. If you're not familiar with the Fish Tale, I wouldn't be surprised, given that there are only two and both are on the CT shoreline. They have fresh seafood yearlong (it tastes just as delicious in the bitter cold of January as it does in July, though the summer months welcome the lobster stand to the Madison, CT location where you can get steamers and lobsters and corn on the cob). I'll be honest. I only go to the one in Madison because it's a much more relaxed atmosphere, I can eat outside on picnic tables and I don't have to worry about figuring out the tip (it's take-away).

So, if you find yourself hankering for a shrimp roll (which goes best with a birch beer by the way) and you're cruising down Route 1 in CT, stop by Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale (and don't let the long line intimidate you--it moves quickly, I promise!)
