tiramisu in pictures

some days, I just lack the words and give you pictures instead.

6 egg yolks meet 1 1/4 Cup sugar and a double boiler

ten minutes of stirring later... beautiful, thick pale yellow

folded into 1 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

once. twice. three times a lady(finger).

Cafe Patron & coffee

ready for the plunge.

soaking up all that rich coffee flavor

layers of Italian mascarpone and coffee flavored goodness.

topped with 85% chocolate curls for good measure and flavor contrast

halfway gone...

The stirring can be tedious if you don't like that sort of thing (I personally find it therapeutic).
