rainbow cupcakes strike again!

A friend of mine saw the rainbow cupcakes I made a while ago and wanted a batch of her own. I didn't know her feelings on Pokemon, but I knew she loved carabiners, the Philly LOVE symbol and women... so here's what I made her!

Those are really awesome looking...like a hippie cupcake or something. How did you do the frosting? Fondant?

Thanks! The Bear Monk, you are correct. I topped them with fondant (I skipped frosting altogether, though it can help if you add too much dye and your cupcakes sink a little in the middle like these guys did). I use a great recipe I found online: http://www.cakescanada.com/HowTo/Fondant.pdf
(it's cheap and super super easy and it tastes much better than commercial and MMF)

Karen - if you make them, take pics! :)
